I am a fine jewelry artist who works primarily with precious gems in folk art style and techniques.

I work primarily with real ingredients. Real gems, many fine (like sapphires and rubies), some quite rare (including coprolites) and costly (such as emeralds and morganites). I am choosy about authenticity and aesthetic. Most of my gems are rescues — genuine but imperfect — and with them I make pieces every bit as fine. Organic and dynamic beauty is more interesting to me than fake matchy perfection.

I also work with other types of media like raw gem chips, handmade glass, wood, acrylic, antique findings and other rescued materials that didn’t belong anywhere else. They blend together and make a happy awesome family that’ll work super hard to make you look cute and keep your vibes on point.

Sometimes fashion is about getting perfection out of a piece, and sometimes it’s about just letting things breathe organically. My philosophy of beauty centers arpund technique, vibe and story: mine as the maker, you as the wielder. Each piece is charged by hand, with spiritual techniques used by both sides of my family (Celtic techniques from my mom’s side and ancient power passed down through my Baltic žynė lineage).

I have a rare prototerminal disease, XLP (a form of porphyria). It is rare, painful, and makes life tough sometimes. So I make things in the dark. I make them from my little studio, sometimes from bed, or sometimes in the living room while my rabbit Phyllis eats cilantro like it owes her money. I create because I have to create. My ideas don’t stop happening just because my body wants to stop moving.

I’ll never be famous cuz I don’t make this stuff for algorithms — I make it for other outsiders who choose not to live by algorithms either. It’s for real humans who care and want to listen. Also, it’s for those just like me: doing their best in a world that’s kinda assholey sometimes. Sharing love. Sharing a story that’s about everyone.

We are all queens, kings, and badass royalty of our own damn lives. We deserve precious gems and magic and understanding too. 💜
