mermaid coral pendant

this hot pink processed coral mermaid pendant showcases gorgeous intricate details and beautiful color uniformity as is typical of stabilized coral jewelry. this sunshine pendant, with its teardrop shape and mermaid theme, is very uniform. real coral often ranges from pale creams to deep oranges.

this mermaid jewelry piece looked magical for a beachy necklace. the design is a truly unique pendant — and will make some killer ocean jewelry perhaps among other corals — but it didn't feel right for my 2024 gallery debut. beach jewelry isnt my thing, but i had an idea. i needed raw coral, want more organic things for my vision of fine coastal jewelry. we also have some rose quartz geometric beads, icy pink agaist the coral. i see some tourmalines amethyst rice beads too.

the jewelry design process taught me a lot about the pros and cons of processed materials compared to natural ones. it solidified my commitment to using ethically sourced and natural materials whenever possible.

that said, i still think there’s a place in the jewelry world for stablilized gemstones like magnesite, howlite, imperial jaspers, and those malachite wanna-bes. i have ideas for this pretty solar mermaid, she’s gonna blow your mind!
