self-love, not self-torture
every time you meditate, you’re telling yourself, “i care about you.” that’s it. it’s not about being perfect or reaching nirvana. it’s about showing up for yourself, flaws and all.
meditation teaches you to sit with yourself, even when you feel like a hot melted bucket of puke. it’s an act of radical self-acceptance, as the self-care weirdos say. and in a world that constantly tells you you’re not enough, that’s pretty badass. so, light a candle, sit your ass down, and spend a few minutes being your own best friend. you deserve it.
