July’s Thoughts on Impermanence
in july, i revisit the principle of impermanence: nothing is forever, even eternity. in baltic lore, the hare acts as a messenger: of life, of death, of good and bad news throughout the cycle. likewise, vaiva rules the passage of the underworld - which can be for good or ill, but part of the cycle - and the rainbow, which carries many facets of emotion and energy within. i practice divination all year long but i feel july superpowers my summer visions. it’s nice to seek guidance from nature sometimes, and i love doing little retreats. 😀
this month’s superstition: the number of shooting stars seen on the longest night predicts the abundance of the coming harvest - be it crops from the literal ground or metaphorical yields of other types.
